Airtel And Beetel Releases Android Tablet For Rs.9,999

After Reliance launched their 3G Tablet now Beetel Teletech, a Bharti Enterprises group company has launches its 7-inch 800×480 LCD display Android Tablet in India called
the Magiq.

The feature-rich Beetel Magiq tablet features a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Android 2.2 OS and 8 GB of internal memory with expandable to 16 GB. The other specifications of the tablet are 3G and WiFi connectivity along with the GSM calling support and a 2200 mAh battery. According to company, Magiq will be upgradable to Android 2.3 in the future. The tablet also comes pre-loaded with lots of application for social networking and other use.

Beetel is one of the largest makers of fixed-line phones in India. Bharti Airtel has launches this low cost tablet just after its rival Reliance Communications had launched a tablet priced at 12,999 rupees. Both are trying to grab the world's fastest-growing and second- largest mobile phone market. Almost 1.5-crore mobile phones are being sold in India every month, around 10 per cent of which are smartphones.

Almost everything about the tablet is good. But let me spell out the top 3 things which impressed me.

   1. The price : At Rs. 9900, none of the existing tablets come close.
   2. Processor : 1 GHz processor on a 7-inch tablet is all you need.
   3. Dual camera : A front-facing VGA camera along with a 2 megapixel camera. Now that’s  what makes this tablet compelling

Beetel would introduce affordable and feature-rich mobile devices soon, including Android-based smartphones, Beetel Magiq is being manufactured by China's Huawei Telecommunications and its a rebranded version of Huawei Ideos S7 tablet. Beetel Magiq customers will enjoy free 3G data connectivity for both prepaid and postpaid connection with a limit of 2GB for 2 months from date of purchase. Airtel is providing bundles data plans with the tablet. It will be available in the stores from next week onward. HTC Holiday Android Tablet Prototype Revealed

In a series of photos taken by a member of XDA Developers forums, we’re here able to see what may well be the upcoming Android device by the name of HTC Holiday. What we can see here is that the smartphone has a massive “CALIFORNIA” sticker or case on the back, this leading us to believe that either the phone will be released with different cases in different regions of the USA OR someone slapped a nasty ol’ sticker on the thing. In addition to this, we’re seeing a rather thin device with a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, a 4.5-inch qHD display at 960 x 540 pixel resolution and a very possible AT&T release.

We’ve not heard just a whole heck of a lot of information on this device since back this May when we heard that the 1.2GHz MSM8660 processor was proposed to be the same as we’re currently seeing in the HTC Sensation and the HTC Sensation 4G from T-Mobile. This device, if we can believe that same leak back earlier this year, will also have 1GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera on the back and a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front.

What’s most interesting here, besides the fact that the display appears to be smashed beyond repair, is that the back has a conductive charge port sort of deal on it – we can assume by taking a peek at this that this device will come with a charger that’ll be able to plug into the wall and sit on your desk where you’ll be able to simply place the smartphone and let it charge (as opposed to having to plug the device in itself.) Sounds kinda neat, yes?
