A Reading Corner

Space is so valuable in our places, but if you can, find a place for a good comfy reading spot. A place where you can kick up your heels at the end of a long day. Look around your home tonight, you can find it !!!

Not your mothers kitchen

I love how creative and still practical people are getting with their kitchens. All 3 of these, although different in style, make my heart flutter. I hope you enjoy them too!

Impact

Adding color is one of the best ways to add high impact to a room. As many times as I've read that in decor magazines, I still love seeing examples of color. The possibilities are endless!

Green !

<

Green is my favorite color. My favorite shade is a light green much like the outdoor patio cushions in the above picture. In the garden green is so many different shades. I could look at tree's blowing in the wind all day so I guess its no wonder I love green!

BLUE!

I have to say, I've never been a huge fan of the color blue, but I sure have taken a second look these days. Seems blue is not just the color of the sky anymore! My inner teen loves the bright aqua's. Makes me feel like a pool party will break out at any time! My more sophisticated side loves the blue grays. The first time I remember seeing that shade was when Restoration Hardware came out with "Silver Sage"... a classic color now. Right now, I do not have much blue in my home, but I've been thinking my next master bedroom redo will have some calming blues in it.

I Love White

White. The small space color of choice. A lot of people, stick with white because it can make a small space look larger. While this is true, its not why I use white. I love how white makes me feel. For me its calming. Makes the mind feel less cluttered, and goes with anything. All white rooms with bold color accents are always fabulous. I love lots of color, bold, pale and in between, but white will always be a favorite of mine.
